Wood ID

Good morning to all, I need help identifying this branch of wood I found. I'm trying to make a bow drill fire from natural materials I'm finding in my area and would like to know if this is yucca. I've tried before that make a bow drill fire but just can't seem to get it right I live in North Texas and it seems like we don't have good materials for it here. Or maybe I'm wrong and I'm just going about it the wrong way. Any help sure would be appreciated
