Yesterday I received a package of natural jute twine and beeswax from amazon and immediately began producing jute wax wicks. I melted the beeswax down, submerged the twine in the wicks, and after they dried, ran them through a pair of needlenose pliers to remove excess twine. However, when I experimented with lighting it, I was able to let it lit with my Zippo but unable to do so with my ferro rod, and it burned out fairly quickly when placed on the ground.
