What's the best ferro rod?

So what's the best ferro rod?Mine are all hard surfaced and are somewhat difficult to get any sparks regardless of what I use to scrape them with.Are the Uberleben or Bayite rods better.I hear that softer rods produce better sparks.Before I order one I wanna know what one to order.
