Agave stalk

So I thought I would make a walking stick out of one of the few agave stalks i have around the property(that will be another post in another forum ). I though the leftover pieces might be good for fire starting, much like the leftover parts I seem to accumulate from various plumbing projects.

This "wood" is balsa like. Very, very, very light but pretty strong, should make a decent walking staff once I add a cap to the bottom. Making feather sticks from it is a challenge, at least for me as...
