Hi! I'm trying to make some charcoal, I looked it up and watched several videos, I struggled in acquiring a sealed container to heat the wood up in a low oxygen setting, so I decided to just get a hot fire going then douse it completely and dry it out. The end result is a super light black material that powders very easily. Can anyone tell me if this is still charcoal or not? Thank you!
