Ferro rod pull or push

Just curious, not that it matters. We all do things our own and if it works God bless.

A few years ago I started a fire with my ferro rod. I was told I did it wrong because I kept the ferro rod stationary and moved the striker. I tried it both ways but alas my muscle memory was ingrained in the stationary ferro rod method.

I couldn't really see a difference.
