Tiny ferro rods

Went on a web binge about these. BCO sells some that are 5/32" thick and 2" or 2.6" long, plus the 1" or 1.3" toggle style that is 5/16" thick. I will probably buy a few of the 5/32" ones since they are super cheap ($0.74 for the 2").

Does anyone use them or have thoughts? Obviously careful tinder preparation would be needed in comparison to using a full sized ferro rod, but less than e.g. a friction fire. I'd say this is more about the technical challenge of doing something ultra-tiny...
