When I was wee lad (back in the good ol' days when little boys roamed free with bb guns, played with fire and snuck through the woods to go fish at some old man's pond) I remember soaking cattails in lighter fluid and running around with them in the dark. I don't think I've done it for 50 years so gave it a try while camping at a lake surrounded by cattails. My cattail tiki torch burned great...for about a minute, then it went out and didn't want to light up again. Boo, I don't remember it...
