I was recently giving a fire starting class using the flint & steel. One of the students brought along some agates finds to try out. One of the finds was a large Gryphaea arcuata aka in English folklore as “devil's toenail". I'm unsure if any of the BCUSA forums have used such along with a steel striker? I haven't thought of using any finds like so with exception of fossilized or petrified wood, mollusk finds like so go on the shelf for display. Anyway, I thought I would share some of...
